By Car: From Inverness, follow the A9 North in the direction of Wick. Helmsdale is approximately 11 miles beyond Brora.
On entering Helmsdale turn inland and take a right at the Bridge Hotel and take the A897 to Kinbrace. This will turn into a single track road with passing places. Balvallioch is approximately 6 miles from Helmsdale on the right.
By Train: Helmsdale has a BR station and taxis are available by prior arrangement.
