Suisgill Estate & Facilities
Visit Suisgill, one of the Highland's most beautiful estates. You are invited to enjoy the stunning views of the Helmsdale river, walk, cycle, bird watch and pan for gold at Baile an Or, the site of the great 1869 Kildonan Gold Rush. Your point of entry to the Kildonan Strath, on which Balvallioch is situated, is the charming village of Helmsdale. Its great Highland charm and tradition is beautifully depicted in the award winning Timespan Heritage Centre which tells the story of the area from its earliest times and is a fascinating source of historical information. There is a wide range of activities for visitors to Helmsdale, and many places to visit.
You may want to stay at Balvallioch, a charming shepherd's cottage, available for rental throughout all the seasons in this wild and glorious Sutherland setting.
