Upper Suisgill is a comfortable sporting lodge situated on Suisgill, a traditional working Highland estate. Originally a small shepherd’s cottage dating from the 1870s, it was extended in 1988 to accommodate large fishing, stalking and shooting parties. Sitting adjacent to Suisgill Burn, it benefits from an elevated position and unparalleled views of the River Helmsdale and Ben Uarie.
The lodge sleeps 14 in nine bedrooms and comprises:
Upstairs (‘new’ wing) – 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single with 1 bathroom and a separate loo
Upstairs (‘old’ wing) – 2 doubles, 2 singles with 1 bathroom
Downstairs – 1 twin next to bathroom and 1 single (cook’s room) next to another bathroom
Large sitting room with open fire and adjacent conservatory
Large dining room
Additional children’s dining area off the main dining room
Well-equipped kitchen and additional side kitchen/utility room
Entrance hall/boot room with downstairs loo
Fenced rough-grass garden
Kennels
A deep freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, drying cupboard, ironing facilities, rod box and lockable gun cabinet are available for your use, as well as satellite television and a wireless internet connection.

Bookings and Enquiries
Let by invitation only for fishing and stalking parties, Upper Suisgill Lodge is occasionally available out of season. Prices available on request.
